It’s a long story, but here I am.

Welcome to Biggers Farms, a rural farm and family homestead, established in 1944 in Perry, Missouri.

I was born in Missouri and raised on a farm established by my grandparents and managed by my parents. My dad worked cattle and row cropped. My mother wore many hats such as bookkeeper and parts runner. She also worked in an antique shop in town.

Music and art were my deepest passions growing up. I played piano and was always drawing. At 18, I began attending Missouri State University where I studied graphic design and painting. After graduation, I found myself on my way to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles was my home for 20 years and holds a special place in my heart. While there I lived in Echo Park with my two Schnauzers, Ollie and Gus. I worked as a graphic designer, moving up to creative and then brand director. Over the years, I would visit home, spending time on the farm with family.

I started traveling and rediscovered a pace of life I hadn't experienced since childhood. Whether in Mérida, Paris, or Varanasi, a common thread was watching family and friends gathering together to catch up, eat real food, and often surrounded by animals.

Last year, I moved back to Missouri and have been rebuilding my family's multi-generational farm while caring for and raising cattle, horses, chickens, and several barn cats. Ollie and Gus love the farm life despite the thunderstorms and snow.

Life can take us on an unexpected path, sometimes back to the beginning. I’m learning everyday and thrive to honor history while forging new practices. My goal is to bring our family farm back to life with kindness and dignity for land, animals, and nature. I’m grateful for all that was and to come.

With gratitude, Rebecca
